Technical Operations Assistant

ROLE – The primary function of the Technical Operations Assistant is to assist  with the daily upkeep of the studio and provide maintenance and other support functions for our Vancouver Studio. This person must possess strong organization / time management skills, be an excellent communicator, and enjoy working in a team and collaborative environment.


  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries, requests and issues related to computer systems, mobile devices, networking, software, and hardware.
  • Build, configure and install new or replacement PCs and network equipment
  • Maintain an inventory of studio hardware
  • Coordinate with hardware vendors for warranty replacement/repair
  • Upgrading systems and ensuring software compatibility
  • Troubleshooting and performing tests on hardware and software
  • Installing and upgrading anti-virus software and security systems to ensure network security.
  • Offering information and support to users
  • Maintaining relationships with different employees and departments
  • Setup new users, including account, software, and desktop configuration
  • Perform hands-on studio operations tasks as needed
  • Provide operational support in the development of our games:
    • Assist with play testing
    • Perform QA (identify and log bugs)


TECHNICAL: You and enjoy variety and challenges in your technical work

2 or more years knowledge and experience;

  • working with Linux, Mac OS, and Windows 10 OS
  • Desktop installation and configuration
  • Building and troubleshooting PC hardware issues
  • Troubleshooting desktop and mobile devices (Android and iOS)
  • Working and troubleshooting networks


  • Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • 2 years experience working in this field.

Not required but would be beneficial;

  • Experience in gaming
  • Familiarity with
    • Microsoft 365
    • Subversion


  • Reports to: Studio Manager & Technical Project Manager
